Did you know that if you give a virgin teenager a condom, within 10 minutes they'll end up pregnant, abused, move into a trailer park, work the swing shift at Denny's, become an alcoholic, lose her job and go on welfare? Yes, it's true! Just ask the government!

Harm reduction is a method used by most European countries to reduce the side effects of harmful behavior. Examples: Someone is about to shoot up with a needle found in the gutter, because no matter what, this person is addicted and will shoot up no matter what. Someone from a local clinic comes by and says "Give me that dirty needle so I can dispose of it. I know you're gonna shoot up anyway, so here is a clean, new needle." Done. One less risk of disease spread right then and there. Another: 16 year old girl is going to prove to her boyfriend how much she loves him and forgives him for having that three-way with the strippers the other night. She's finally gonna put out. But, like most 16 year olds, she's embarrassed to go into Walgreen’s to buy rubbers. Oh, wait! They gave some out at school last week. That saved her a whole lot of embarrassment, and the pressure of going through with it when her good for nothing rat bastard boyfriend doesn't have one to slide on to his little prick covered in all those bumps. Another STD avoided. Oh, and, both of those remedies are illegal.
When young girls and boys see condoms, they don't see them as an invitation to sex. It's not those greasy latex tubes that get their hormones going. It's, well, hormones. To say that handing out rubbers to kids will make the pregnancy and immorality rates skyrocket is like saying that before this was a debate there was no pregnancy or immorality. To see Christina Aguilera writhing and sweating and rubbing in her Dirty video, that makes kids want to have sex. It's time we gave them the tools to be safe about it. When you have 15 year old girls pushing double strollers through the mall, it's time to really assess the situation, and find out how to reduce these numbers. Teach these girls what a real role model is.
GWB has been backing his "abstinence only until marriage" program, wanting to pour hundreds of millions of dollars into this losing battle (sound familiar?). Every day in the US 10,000 teenagers will contract an STD. 2,400 will get pregnant. 55 will contract HIV. By limiting the information given to young people (censoring), you don't give people the option to make informed decisions for themselves. You are taking away their rights to information. I believe this has happened before.
Stop this stupid program. Stop the war on drugs. Not to sound conspiracy theoristish, but we all know that the CIA is facilitating the drug trafficking anyway. Stop bitching about welfare unless you're really ready to start educating. Stop bitching about the ignorant unless you're ready for some real uprising. Stop preaching your religious babble unless your hands are clean at the pearly gates. Fucking hypocrisy.
